Wayne Miller is a designer, director and performer who has been designing lighting and settings for stage shows and video for over 20 years. His designs have been seen in numerous venues in the New York tri-state area.
His most recent project was the lighting design for a special performance of A BRONX TALE, starring Chazz Palminteri.
He co-designed and produced the New York City premier of The Blue Angel, a musical noir, a new musical based on the classic Marlene Dietrich film and designed the lighting for the American Premier of MISERY, the stage play based on the Stephen King novel.
He recently designed and directed site specific productions of Harper Lee's classic novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, and The Andersonville Trial in an actual courtroom and followed that by designing and directing the New York City Premiere of Steven Dietz's comedic thriller, Yankee Tavern.
He is the Production Manager at the St George Theatre, an 1800 seat performance venue (http://stgeorgetheatre.com) and the Artistic Director of The Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre, a 35 year old Showcase company in his home borough of New York City. http://sistny.org
He has been an Adjunct Instructor for the City University of New York, an on-air host and moderator for Time Warner Cable, and designed concert lighting for numerous artists including Alan King, Judy Collins, Chuck Mangione, The Brooklyn Bridge, Roberta Flack, Ingrid Michaelson and Katy Manning's one-woman show, Not a Well Woman, at New York City's legendary Tavern-on-the-Green.
